3 day-2 night excursion gives you the opportunity to enjoy scenic
Cobble Hill, Cowichan Valley, Saltspring Island and Saanich Peninsula.
Departing from our convenient downtown Victoria location enjoy
the thrill of tracks, trestles and tunnels as we make our way
by train to a rustic country whistle stop in Shawnigan Lake. Here
we meet our support van get on our bicycles and start to enjoy
cycling on country back roads. On the sunlit verandah of the manor
house at a local winery we stop for a gourmet lunch and wine tasting.
The afternoon finds us at a spectacular riverside heritage site
to learn about First Nations traditions before cycling to our
pleasant evening B & B accommodation.
Next
morning, after a leisurely breakfast, it's down more country roads
for our tour of the mural town of Chemainus. We then hop aboard
a ferry to Saltspring Island. Renowned for art, produce and unique
island crafts, Ganges is our next stop. After a seaside afternoon
cycle with an opportunity to rest and relax, we take to our kayaks
for an evening paddle. Next morning we cycle to catch the return
ferry to Vancouver Island. A stop in Sidney for a wharf side lunch
is followed by a leisurely cycle down the Lochside Trail to Selkirk
Station, our Victoria end point.
Price
includes bicycle, helmet, souvenir water bottle, 2 guides per
10 cyclists, support van, accommodation (based on double occupancy),
three lunches, two dinners, two breakfasts and snacks on the road,
kayak tour, ferry fares and admission fees. Singles are welcome
and will be partnered with same sex cyclists for room sharing.
Additional
excursions and tours are available. These include Dinner Theater
in Chemainus, Butcharts Gardens, evening sailing cruises and whale
watching/marine wildlife tours.

26, August 2, August 9, August 23, August 30, September 6 (special
wine festival tour), September 20, October 4, 2002. Price $849.00
per person.
Off
peak weekday (Monday) tour departures: June 24, July 1, July 8,
July 29, August 5, August 26, September 2, September 9, September
9, September 23, October 7, 2002. Price $699.00 per person.
Group
