SNSYC Sailpast
Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club Sailpast takes place on Saturday May 4 off the Sidney Waterfront. This is a colourful ceremony in keeping with nautical traditions, involving a parade of power and sail boats, flags and signals. Commodore Arch Thomson takes the salute from members starting at 2:30 PM.

Patos Island Regatta (March 16-17) cancelled
Our annual Patos Island Regatta has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
These include reports of 45-50 knot winds and 8 foot waves in the vicinity of Patos Island, a lengthy flood tide, wind against the current, as well as a high wind chill factor.
SNSYC Fleet Captain Barry Hodgkin made the call immediately preceding the race in the interests of safety based on a small fleet in bad conditions.
There is no proposed rescheduling of the Patos Island Regatta in the near future. A total of six boats entered the race and entrance fees were refunded.
