SNSYC Annual Regatta

The Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club will be hosting its Annual Regatta at Sidney, B.C. from June 21 to 23, 2002. Races will consist of long distance windward leeward courses chosen to fit prevailing conditions of wind and current. Racing will take place on Saturday and on Sunday, June 22-23. There will be up to 5 races (max. 3 on Saturday, and 2 on Sunday).

The Regatta will kick off on Friday evening with registration, a no-host bar and free appetizers. Saturday evening will feature a BBQ steak dinner buffet, live music and dancing. Prize draws will be held that evening and at the Awards presentations following completion of racing on Sunday afternoon. Prizes from our generous sponsors typically include everything from boating gear to airline flights.

Entries are open to all classes of yachts. Division splits will be finalized dependent on the number of entries. Expect two PHRF(NW) flying sails Divisions (A & B) , one PHRF(NW) non flying sails Division (C) and one non flying sails (non PHRF) division (D).

Registration forms and additional information will be posted on the club's web site: www.vvv.com/~ursa/SNSYC.htm. The registration fee is $45 and includes one meal ticket for Saturday evening. All entries received on or by 14 Jun '02 will be eligible for a special prize draw.

Free moorage is available at the SNSYC guest dock (including stay-overs for those boats on the way to the following week's SIN regatta in Nanaimo).
