Music:
NA. 9-12.1 Singing alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music.
- Students sing with
expression and technical accuracy a varied repertoire of vocal literature
with a difficulty of 4, on a scale of 1-6, including songs performed
from memory.
NA.9-12.5 Reading
and notating music
- Students demonstrate
the ability to read a vocal score of up to four staves by describing
how the elements of music are used
- Students who participate
in the choral class, sight read accurately and expressively, music with
a level of difficulty of 3, on a scale of 1 to 6
NA.9-12.7 Evaluating
music and music performances
- Students evolve
specific criteria for making informed, critical evaluations of the quality
and effectiveness of performances, and apply the criteria in their personal
participation in music
- Students evaluate
a given musical work in terms of its aesthetic qualities and explain
the musical means it uses to evoke feelings and emotions

- Students explain
how the roles of creators, performers and other involved in the production

and culure, justifying conclusions made in the analysis and using such
conclusions to to inform their own art making.

intentions of those creating artworks, explore the implications of various
purposes, and justify their analyses of purposes in particular works

the materials, technologies, media, and processes of the visual arts
